Stair Building Codes

Reliable Construction Services Offers a diverse and varied selection of stairs for residential , commercial and industrial applications. We have been installing stairs in Southern California since 1978.  All forms or stairs-- straights, winders, curves,  and specialty sets  of stairs can be built to fit the needs of your building. We have recently rebuilt and restored the stair ways of two large apartment complexes.

Customers may select from an almost unlimited variety of hardwoods and exotic woods which include  pine,  red oak, white oak, poplar,  maple,  cherry, genuine mahogany, teak, ash, walnut and many others. All material is carefully color- and grain-matched to assure perfection in each stair.

The flared stair adds distinction and grandeur to the standard straight stair. The treads may be either flared on a straight angle or with a gradual curve. The flared portion of the stair is typically at the base of the stair run, but can also be built into the top of the stair. An hourglass effect is created by flaring both the top and the bottom. Particularly dramatic are the bowed treads inherent in this configuration.

Because of the variety of styles and configurations of straight stairs, they are used for the simplest to the most elaborate applications. In addition to the classic straight run, the straight stair can be transformed into an l-shape, a u-shape, a switchback, or a winder. Like their curved stair counterparts, straight stairs may be box or open cut, freestanding or supported by one or more walls.

Popular for a more contemporary decor or to create a sense of spaciousness is the "see though" no-riser straight stair. Under slung stairs suggest a similar openness, yet utilize horse cut stringers in contrast to the box stringer of the no-riser stair.

Please keep us in mind for your next stairway. Whether your stairs are damaged  or new.
